Early Career Researchers Award 2026 for Dr Daniela Gesell

Dr Daniela Gesell has received the 2026 Early Career Researchers Award from the journal Research in Health Services and Regions for her paper “Patients potentially in need for palliative care in Germany — A regional small-area estimation based on death registry data.” The award, presented by the Central Research Institute of Ambulatory Health Care in Germany (Zi), recognizes her research into regional differences in the potential need for palliative care across Germany.
