CELEBRATION of the 10th anniversary of our Ph.D. program

On the occasion of our 10th anniversary, a select group of scientists gathered on Monday, October 9, 2023, for our anniversary celebration, to which the spokespersons of the program, Prof. Ulrich Mansmann and Prof. Eva A. Rehfuess had invited.
We had the pleasure to celebrate in the beautiful ambience of the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation and were especially happy to welcome the Dean of the Medical Faculty, Prof. Thomas Gudermann, who despite his tight schedule found the time to come as well as to give a laudation on our program.
For the key notes we could win Prof. Dr. Ulrich Dirnagl, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Director of the QUEST, who inspired the audience with his lecture "Reproducibility: Foundation of science" as well as Prof. Cécile Knai, Ph.D., MPH, Rnutr, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, who captivated us all with her lecture on "Systems thinking as a framework to study the Commercial Determinants of Health". Each of the presentations was followed by a very lively discussion!
Among the guests were high-ranking representatives of the LMU Clinic, the IBE, Helmholtz Munich, the TUM, the LGL as well as the head of the MMRS Munich Medical Research School, Dr. Antje Hentrich and the deputy director of the GraduateCenterLMU, Dr. Kerstin Bleuel.
Former as well as current supervisors and coordinators, alumni, current students in our program as well as future students starting this winter semester completed the picture.
