Online course "Clinical Epidemiology"
An alternate option for the elective is the online course CLINICAL EPIDEMIOLOGY. It can be chosen as an elective for the MeCuM Intensive Block I1 or I2 and is designed to prepare students for and supplement the lecture and its teaching materials.
The online course contains individual learning units that have been created with the CASUS learning system. The units use case examples to present methods of clinical epidemiology and their clinical implementation:
- “Introduction to the concepts of epidemiology″
- “Basics of diagnostic tests”
- “Clinical trials to verifiy therapeutic effect”
- “Instruments of prognosis”.

The online course CLINICAL EPIDEMIOLOGY can only be accessed through the Virtual University of Bavaria (Virtuelle Hochschule Bayern (vhb)). Information for the registration at the vhb can be found in Moodle, as well as the following link:
