Clinical Epidemiology II
The Clinical Epidemiology II module consists of two thematic units – defining and measuring endpoints for clinical studies and advanced statistical methods. In the first part of the course students become familiar with both the concepts of clinically relevant and surrogate endpoints, as well as the meaning of scores in clinical research, and the role of scores of measures in human functioning and their applications in various medical areas. The course also provides insight into new developments in the definition and the measure of human functioning. In the second part of the course, students learn about the application of Cox Regression to individual prognosis and modern regression methods for modelling of clinical issues, application of Bayesian methods and modelling of longitudinal and clustered data.

Course Structure
Seminar - For each unit of the course, topics are presented within 8 thematic blocks with help of original and applied medical articles and literature about methodological aspects of the course.
Exercises - Students apply the theories they have learned during the seminar in practical exercises related to all discussed topics.
