Research Interest
The objective of my PhD research is to investigate the health and behavioural changes in the common life transition of retirement in subjects suffering or at risk for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Specific attention will be paid both to the period before and after retirement, in order to understand the dynamics of the transition regarding the early- or postponed retirement decision and the role of risk factors, above all job strain and financial insecurity, which could impact disease outbreak and progression.
