Research Interest
Since October 2015, I am a PhD candidate in the field of Medical Research - Epidemiology and Public Health at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich with a special focus in epidemiology of ageing. The working title of my PhD project is: “The concept of deficit accumulation and its predictors” and I hope that this project will contribute to a better understanding of how people differ in their health trajectories in older age, providing potential starting points for the development of preventive approaches. In this context, I am working with data from large population-based cohort studies, and also had the opportunity to gain insight in the process of data collection and quality assurance for these types of studies. My current methodological interests lie in longitudinal data analysis, especially generalised linear mixed models and survival analysis.
Additionally, I have worked on projects in the field of health services research since 2015, applying qualitative and quantitative methods to help develop complex interventions targeting quality of life in vertigo patients and nursing home residents.
