Computer systems and multimedia technologies have made it possible for students to learn individually regardless of time and location. These methods allow complex medical issues to be presented in a multimedia format, and are able to support different learning strategies.

The study tool epiLEARNER (Beta-Version) is also available for medical students. This tool is an interactive program to assist in learning the concepts presented in the epidemiology and statistics courses of the MeCuM-Science program.

Der epiLEARNER besteht aus drei Teilen:

  • Case studies: Why do physicians need statistics? The Warum braucht der Arzt Statistik? Students can study the presented topics using case studies
  • Multiple Choice Questions: Each topic has multiple choice questions that students can use to prepare for the final exam
  • Glossary: Students can review the concepts presented in the epidemiology and statistics courses with useful tipps and supplemental information.

The following topics are currently available on the Beta-Version: Statistical tests, medical diagnosis, survival analysis, and cox regression.
